  4.      1200 HARD DRIVE SET-UP DISK (C)1993 SKY-LINE SOFTWARE.

  8. This disk may be given out free with any hard drive sold and used 
  9. by any one with a 1200 hard drive as long as the disk is not 
  10. changed in any way.
  11.  
  12. I wrote this install disk because all the others about are 
  13. rubbish.this disk will install your whole workbench(and other 
  14. useful libs and c files),it gives your hard drive two nice icons
  15. and also cleans up after its self all this and its easy to use.
  16.  
  17. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.
  18. I have made this proram as easy to use as i can its so easy i 
  19. dont think you can go wrong but if your not sure please seek help 
  20. from someone more experienced.

  22. PREPHD-This is used to prepare the hard drive for formatting when
  23.        the drive is new or to reinstall the work and system icons
  24.        to the default settings.
  25.  
  26. FORMATHD-This is used to prepare the surface of the hard drive    
  27.          for accepting data.
  28.  
  29. INSTALLHD-This is used to install or re-install the workbench
  30.           (system files) onto the hard drive.
  31.  
  32. HARD DRIVE TOOL BOX-This contains tools for re-partitioning the   
  33.                     hard drive and other advanced features.
  34.    NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE INEXPERIENCED USER TO FIDDLE WITH.

  36. When useing the hard drive for the first time follow all 
  37. instructions,when just re-installing miss out nummber 2. 
  38.  
  39. 1) insert the HD setup disk and turn on your machine.
  40.  
  41. 2) When the main menu appears,press F1 to prep the hard drive,
  42.    this will install two partitions on the hard drive called WORK
  43.    and SYSTEM3.0.follow the on screen instructions.RESET THE      
  44.    COMPUTER AFTER PREPHD HAS FINISHED.

  46. 3) Now press F2 for FORMATHD,you will be asked if you want to     
  47.    format the drive partitions,answer yes (Type Y and then press  
  48.    the enter key).ANY DATA ALREADY ON THE DRIVE WILL BE LOST
  49.    FOREVER.

  51. 4) If you want to install the system(workbench) answer yes to the 
  52.    next question on the screen.Have your workbench disks ready
  53.    and change them as requested.The system disks will now be      
  54.    copied to the hard drive.When the install routine is finished,
  55.    you will be asked to remove the disk and reset the machine.
  56.    The computer will now boot from the hard drive.

  58. 5) You will now see three icons RAM WORK SYSTEM3.0.
  59.    WORK-This is where you store all your programs.
  60.  
  61.    SYSTEM3.0-This contains the workbench.

  63. THERE ALL DONE EASY OR WHAT!

  65. HARD DRIVE TOOL BOX-Until you are an experienced hard drive user 
  66. you should not attempt to use this program.It is used to change 
  67. the size of the partitions and incorrect use will result in data 
  68. loss.

  70. PLEASE READ THIS.
  71. I spent a lot of time writting this program i dont ask any money 
  72. for it just that you dont change it in any way this also means
  73. dont put any intros on it.
  74. Some programs that were written for hard drive install before the 
  75. 1200 came out dont install,i have written lots of programs to 
  76. fix this and also have a very useful util. disk.so if you wish to 
  77. have some of these programs please send me your name and address 
  78. and i will send you details of all my new programs.
  79. Once you have sent me your details i will give you full help with 
  80. any 1200 problems free of charge (as long as you send a self 
  81. addressed envlope and stamp) i will charge a few pounds of any 
  82. programs i send you but thay will be very cheap.
  83. So if theres a program that should install that will not 
  84. send me the name of it and i will write a program to do it for 
  85. you.I all so have disks with install programs ready.
